“We have forgotten the age-old fact that God speaks chiefly through dreams and visions.”

- C.G. Jung -
From the beginning of time, we have sought to hear the voices of the deities speaking to us  through our dreams, and it is here that we come to understand the archetypal and spiritual nature of our life, our choices, and perhaps even our destiny.

It is in the dream that this voice of the Self speaks to us in a symbolic language which Jung referred to as  the “Antique Soul”, a voice which has remained steadfast since the beginning of time.

Ancient healing traditions as well as modern psychotherapy are rooted in the knowledge that the dream is a sacred message from the Self. Today, we still understand that this voice that speaks through dreams is the voice of Psyche.

When we understand the nature of the dream, its purpose and its meaning, we are oriented to what is moving in our life, what is being called into being, and what may be outdated, and time to move beyond.

The Assisi Institute’s 2023 Winter Dream Conference focuses on the relationship between the archetypal nature of dreams, and our personal complexed reaction to the dream. It is here, in this overly personal approach to transpersonal imagery and meaning, that the profound message of the dream is often lost. We will delve into the workings of the complex, archetypal symbolism, and how to bring the dream’s message into our own life - and for clinicians, into the lives of our clients. So too in this work we come to a renewed understanding of the deeply spiritual and profound significance of dreams as the voice of God.
Please note that our 2023 Dream Conference is open to both clinicians and those who have a
personal interest in gaining deeper insight into the archetypal nature of their nighttime dreams.
