The Assisi Institute International Scholarships
Two-Year program in Archetypal Pattern Analysis
For close to forty (40) years, The Assisi Institute: The International Center for the Study of Archetypal Patterns has investigated the presence of "Psyche in Matter". Deeply rooted in the work of C.G. Jung and von Franz, we have studied the manifestation of these autonomous, archetypal dynamics in; the clinical situation, spirituality, the arts, ethology, medicine, and the new sciences of emergence. Recognized as a world leader in this work, participants in our programs come more than 40 countries around the world. We are pleased to offer six scholarships to interested students, for whom their socio-economic, political and/or cultural milieus make it difficult for them to participate. Recipients of these scholarships receive a 50% reduction in the total tuition for the Two-Year Program.
These scholarships will be awarded annually to students seeking to deepen their understanding of archetypal dynamics and archetypal patterns.
Candidates from diverse profession backgrounds are encouraged to apply for either the Dr Rise and Yoram Kaufmann or the Robert Langs scholarship.

The Dr. Rise and Dr. Yoram Kaufmann Scholarship
To meet someone whose work inspires us to be more than we ever imagined we could be is pure grace. Their vision and understanding of psyche
inspires us to dedicate our life to this work and whose love warms our soul. Such is the life and work of Dr. Rise and Dr. Yoram Kaufmann.
As they have given so much of us in the Assisi Community over the past 30 years, we now honor their life and work with a scholarship in their name. The scholarship allows this next generation of students to also benefit by their profound contributions.
Yoram and Rise are and were both consummate professionals and passionate about their life and work as clinicians. They have asked us to make this
scholarship available to clinicians equally passionate about their therapeutic work.

workings of the unconscious in virtually every facet of life, from the clinical domain, to art, to literature, government, and even in sports.
In honor of his work and legacy we have created this scholarship to support the studies of candidates whose interest captures the spirit of Dr. Langs' work.
This opportunity is available to individuals in all walks of life and professional backgrounds. Upon completion of this two (2) year course of study, scholarship participants will present their work to the Assisi community.

Dr. Robert Langs, M.D. was a classically trained psychoanalyst who forged a new, adaptation-oriented approach to the study of the human mind in which unconscious perceptions of traumatic, death-related realities play a crucial role - both creatively and disruptively. He was the author of 45 books and some 175 book chapters and journal papers on psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, including topics such as the evolution and design of the emotion-processing
mind, dreams, archetypes, universal forms of death anxiety, and much more.
